Gadge,

the usual thing is that we tend to have a designated meeting point, say 2pm til 3pm at a bar somewhere! We all have each others mobiles, just in case any late comers!

For hotels, probably best to book individually, unless we can arrange a group discount at that Britannia - the Ibis does seem good value though, and near to centre.

I always stay in the Travelodge or the Jurys Inn... both on Broad Street and about £45 a room. THe Jurys inn has the advantage of doing Twin Double Rooms (I can't see whats theyd be used for) which means instead of 2 sharers getting a single each, you get a nice big double :)

Did prefer Travelodge overall though, plus it has the NCP (£5 a day) car park right opposite, whereas the Jurys is about 2 minute walk :p

i've just realised. Butlins cost us (in the ghetto) £39 for 3 nights!

<sniffles> but Ghost, your toaster was **** (didn't try the microwave). We slummed it out in the ghetto. I say "slummed", i spent most of the weekend in Silver

Gaz, you awful man. you shoule be ashamed

it's because you promised them some work for their overpayed security!

ah well, we have a few dumped cars outside our chalet to entertain us. so we were happy

it's because he heard "mase, ya mother ****er. get teh **** outta bed" and thought he best wait there. keep the Punto van safe!

Excellent - never stayed overnight in Brum, so will go with your expertise ;) - I only suggested Ibis coz I know they are generally good value.

:) But if a group book might get a discount better somewhere else? Anyway, here are the links:

For people that don't know, Broadstreet is the main bar/club street with everything you might need on it. Proper pikey when you go home as everyone is about :) Worx is opposite Nandos up one end (about 4 minutes walk) with about 10/15 bars/clubs in between.

Worx on a saturday night has 3 rooms - 1 = Mainstream (dance -> trance -> ending r&b) room 2 = cheese and room 3 is r&b and hip hop allnight (and right up the top, you look over everything! SUGOI!)
