I have a fault with my doblo van, when you move backwards or forwards on lock you hear a loud bang and the steering tries to straighten up. You feel resistance as if something in the gearbox or drive shaft is sticking. Has anyone experience this fault.

You don't give any details of age or mileage, but this sounds very like a constant velocity point in on, or bith, front drive shafts. Get it sorted soon, because if it breaks it will be expensive!!

Welcome to the forum (y)

This does sound like something to do with the drive shaft(s) although it could also possibly be a problem with the power steering pump not being able to handle the pressure? Is all other driving ok?

Thanks for advise
I have removed the left hand drive shaft, all ok but found parts of the diff gear broken up where the drive shaft fits.

Requires a new Gearbox.

Does anyone know of or have a gearbox for a Doblo van Diesel on a 51 plate?
