i have a doblo wihich has not run for a few weeks . the fault started when we pulled out a few fuses . then the key code light lit up. its now at fiat dealer in bury near manchester. i was told i will need a new key and recode .this was told by the parts lad at the dealer .so i ordered the key it has arrived thy coded the key and the car still does not run .service guy calls me to say it not running . and it may be the ecu . the service guy then asked who told you to order a key . .its is your parts desk told me to order a new key . and code and have it coded . but it still does not run. i think its a fuse . what do you think enyone

If you take your car to a Fiat dealer for rectification and they say "X" which you agree/pay for and then subsequently "Y" is what was relly needed then that is their problem.

If you get no satisfaction then take the mater up directly with Fiat. If you have AA/RAC/other cover then most/all of these organisations have legal departments on your side.

My general advice is: be cool, work in cooperation with the Fiat dealer and give them a little slack. This little slack will either redeemed them or hang them. After that you have every right to bring guns to bear etc. etc.

Bottom line is this. Many decent garages/dealers get things right first time. Some need a second shot and willingly do this. After that you/we need to be ruthless.

Every case/situation is different and only YOU can initially decide where the "break point" is.
