Hi all,

I have a 1.3 Multijet Fiat Doblo 263. When starting the engine, it seems there isn't enough oil pressure getting to the turbo straight away, which is causing the turbo to make a screeching noise but it goes away after a few seconds of the van starting.

I've got the van booked in for a timing chain, oil pump and water pump change this Friday, but I'm unsure if I need to get anything else changed or if anyone has any idea what's causing this

The turbo itself has very little play when I last checked

Are you sure its not the alternator drive belt or its pullys?
I'm thinking it's one of these causing the issues after a bit more testing!

Hi James

What did the garage find?
Garage actually just replaced the timing chain (full kit), oil pump and water pump and a few other things.

I still have a oil pressure issue which is causing me a headache going in tomorrow for them to fit a new pressure switch but I've read online it could be crankshaft bearings need replacing not sure how much that costs or if it's a big job?
