Fiat Dealers to Avoid

Fiat Dealers to Avoid

Yes of course but I was refering to another person. My point is/was you are leaving yorself open to 'attack' from the public who might not be telling the whole truth however others do jump on the 'bandwagon' & the situation spirals out of control.

There has been talk of an official Fiat member joining the forum to help out and answer questions but next to cleaning the sewers in the summer I cant think of a worse job;)

Does`nt have to be like this forever though. How about a new set of rules and level of moderating to remove malicious or just thoughtless trouble making posts?
Sometimes (speaking of a minority)I`m not sure the implications of `naming`are considered or cared about. Without a higher level of `social responsibility` on the forum, ( lowest common denominator will always ruin it) surely its up to the forum to set a tighter standard of what is allowed in posts.

i`m refering to what gets said about dealerships in particular.

If the situation were to be turned on its head and Main Dealers were able to post anonymously about fully named forum members, some of it made up,
there would be absolute outrage. Yet it seems acceptable and the current norm for the reverse.
Any thoughts Ben and Mods?

regards

Thats what happens here but luckily there is always at least a few mods online to quickly remove these posts quickly.

Then you get those who think we 'over' moderate:rolleyes:

I mentioned before using IP addresses as a means of aspiring to more accountability. After all, If the dealer can be named and the issue is factual, why should a poster not be made more accountable in identity? If that`s a problem, then don`t name the dealer.

Yes mate I agree with everything you said in your reply, hence the reason why on a previous post I did, discussing why some specialists find it necessary to charge so much compared to non specialists, I did not name the garage which had prompted me to post! I stated facts clearly, but naming the garage could cause trouble for me personally, not least from other posters, and besides which was unnecessary - as I said before, if they do it to people besides me, those people won't go back to them either. That post was intended to get a debate going, but NOT a debate about that particular garage.

However, I should add that I have had no problem naming the garage which has provided me with a splendid service in the past!

ps - I think my post about over charging was hijacked too :ROFLMAO:

Hi HJF, sorry, I was commenting on the very old thread and *naming* in general, was not intending to comment on any individual post.

Regards

seems like a lot of you guys have issues with your local garages, have you tried sitting down with the service manager and discussing your issues?! i would much prefer somebody to come and have a chat with me instead of slating the dealership all over FF, at least that way we have some chance of rectifying the problem/ issue!
I was asked the other day (in another thread) who i worked for (those who come to our dealership would guess who i am nearly straight away!) and to be honest although we haven’t been mentioned in this thread i don’t think i would tell any of you! ive looked at past posts and one more recent one saying nothing but good things about us, but back when the gp came out and knocking noises from steering racks and squeaky brakes were all the rage, people did have issues with us being unable to sort out the faults. But with technical bulletins being released/ updated daily we have been able to get them sorted, and hopefully everybody’s happy and enjoying the cars now!

Anyway... i think that you should all post something about a good experience from a garage... fiat or not im sure that there has been times when you’ve felt pleased with the work that has been done??? Even if it is only that your car was ready on time or that it was the same cost as what was quoted to begin with?
Thanks for reading!
