Good to hear from u scooby!!! Hopefuylly we can get the data back but at the worst kayjay has the guides etc so we can rebuild and become stronger. Only thing im worried about is everyones post rankings!! :D

I fired off emails to abuse@, admin@ & sales@ the planet.com asking where FCCUK had gone but have had no response.
 
I suppose the Q to ask is when was the FCCUK forum last backed up...????

I'll do some digging round the net and see if I can glean anything about these companies.

You won't get a reply from thePlanet - all they do is rent out the server (which anyway is still operational) - they also will not be able to give you out personal / restrcited info about the service.

Does seem a little odd that the server is up though the sites have all gone though, you would think if a company was going tits up the server would dissapear too.

It *could* just be the guy who runs it is on holiday or something and something/someone has zapped the server. When he returns you would hope he has a backup to get everything back...?

We've got the advantage here of renting our own server (my other job is as a webhost ;)), so if something goes wrong - I only have myself to blame - lol ....

As for donating, I'm going to hold my hands up right now and say that I've been meaning to do it, and/or join properly, for ages and it's just one of those things you never think about when you're actually in front of a PC. However, if anyone can mail me an application form I WILL attend to it right now, and Scooby/Bobbs, please feel free to nag me for a donation once it returns (or in advance if you need it?)
 
Feel free to swing by there, I doubt you'll find anyone home though. If you do, although of course I don't condone violence in any way, and if you were to crush their knackers between a couple of bricks, I wouldn't feel too bad.

I can't believe this, I thought that you'd pulled the plug because of the random posts, if I was a mod I would be tempted having to put up with a lot of the **** that gets posted! :bang:

Hope it gets sorted as its a valuable site to all coupe owners and former coupe owners. Have they been paying the bills? :cry:

Christ, if you don't like here, wait until you see the FCCUK temporary home forum!! Sending each other post it notes would be preferable to that!! ;) :D

It's fine in here, locals are all friendly and they love our cars, what more could you ask for? Mind, I'm still looking for my slippers, they must be in one of these boxes somewhere :D
