Fiat Bravo Oil & Filter

Hello,

Can anyone please tell me how often you require to replace oil & Filter on Fiat Bravo 2008 model 1.6 M dynamic ECO diesel.

The reason I am asking is because 6 months ago (June) a light came up on my dashboard and I was told its a DPF warning light to which my Fiat garage replaced the following.

M/tec B4 5w40
Sealing gasket
Filtering Element...total cost £116

This week I took my car for annual Service and to my surprise I see the same 3 items mentioned on my invoice again( although with 5% hiked price!!)as a part of the work carried out.

Can anyone please shed some light if this is normal for a Fiat Bravo, as I've only done 2000 miles since the first replacement 6months ago.

your comments are much appreciated and would help me decide whether to keep my Fiat Bravo!!!

I would say you just got screwed, if it was the same garage\dealership they should have a record of what was done and when, although the previous oil change wasn't due to a scheduled service so may not be recorded on your service record... you should go back and speak to them and ask for a free oil and filter change on your next service....
