Technical Fiat Bravo 2007 Service

Hey Guys,

I recently had my car overhauled because of 30k.

Before i went to the garage i had an option that was named: service

I could see for example that the service should be done after 12k kilometer.

But since it was overhauled i dont see this option in the menu anymore.

Anyone have an idea what is going on? Or doesnt it show after service?

Hope anyone can enlighten me.

Hi

I service my car by my self and this happend to me when I was using mes when I was reseting the service indikator.

When you have reset the service indikator 10 times it goes away frome the menu and it will not show up ever again. in fackt it will never even flash that its time for service its turned of I think.

However if you want the service indikator back you can ask the garage to set the service indikator value back to 1 from 10 or, if you have mes you can do it yourself.

Thanks alot man! This is probably what they have done.

Also i have the oil changed and it shows the refresh oil now. Seem like they forgot to reset the DPF.

I will go to the garage tomorrow. Thanks!

Yes thats probably it, the service indikator and oil reset are two different things.

Have to ride 300km (work) before i can go to the garage to reset it.

As far as i know its just the indicator that the oil needs refreshing. There is plenty of oil in the motor

If the car have particle filter you need to reset soon the oil counter.
If you have the oil indicator on the regeneration of this filter dont start.
If the car do not have the particle filter it is not a problem to make a long ride.

It's a Diesel from '07 with DPF.

The red light blinks when driving an shuts down after a while.

It just pops up every time i start the car.

According to other who had this problem you can still drive it without problems. Thats why i ask here, maybe someone kept on driving it and had no problems.

My red light, oïl change indicator is blinking since 20 000km and I have no problems at all...
I use to change motor oil every 17 500km.
My service light never turns on because the countdown in memory is "0"...

Its a big difference if you have the DPF or not if you have DPF you need to reset oil service light ASAP.

If you dont reset the oil service light it will aventualy stop regenerte.

You need to reset the oil counter because your DPF will not be cleaned as long the warning message is active.
If you dont do that the filter will be clogged and will require to do the forced regeneration.

It blinks and goes off after a minute. Why does it go off it is such a harm? Don't think things will break on 300km.

Yes, my engine is fitted with a DPF.
(and everything works fine ...)
When the red light is blinking, you have to change engine oïl within 500km.

I just drove 200km and the light blinked when I started driving, went off after a minute and never came back up. Probably when I start the car again. Tomorrow I'm going to the garage.
