When did you place your order?

I got the car on time. (24/11/2011) but I had to wait for the plates and papers for a week.

The funny thing is that the transportation guys are left out of this special green/yellow paper, so all i got is a temporary license printed on a dot matrix printer.

The dealer installed an alarm system and parking sensors - i hate them - so everything went according to the plan.

I have to post some photos and general comments somewhere in a better thread anyway...

I have to add: THIS CAR MAKES ME SMILE!

Did you need a week or 7 working days? If its just 1 week that makes me smile, because mine arrived at the dealership on the 25th of November. The picking up estimated day is this coming Wednesday. 49 days since i placed the order :) If things go as in your case probably i'm gonna get the car 1-2 days earlier :) The dealer had offered me the alarm and parking sensors too, but i decided to not go for the alarm so he gave me a small discount instead.

DO NOT put the parking sensors! They are horrible noisy and worthless. A piece of junk. Not to mention that they wake up the kid when she is sleeping...
The alarm is ok.

I believe it was 5 working days but my dealer was not what we call "speedy"

Yes and they also make the car ugly! And with good thieves by the time the alarm rings the car is long gone so i dont think this really prevents car theft = ) Or it wouldnt help if a thief put a gun in your head while you are driving and makes you give the car :p

The dealer at Spicar offered the same deal but i said no way give me another extra instead! I am sure the dealer makes some good cash by offering a cheap 20 year old alarm system!

P.S. Even though i dont plan on taking my car to be serviced by a dealer ever again (i mean they couldnt even get the tire pressures right i slid my car after the service and checked the tires and realised that they put the tires 30 psi front 30 psi rear instead of 36 front 34 rear which was 100% not the case before i took it to service!), If you find a good Fiat dealer in Greece please let me know!

I do park carefully... the Beetle was like double in size (not! but i'm just trying to give some emphasis:p ) and the bumpers were unscratched. So, its just a matter of taste, i'm not bothered. :)

I had no offer for a discount. It was a - take it or leave it - discussion and decided to put them on anyway.

The dealer is awful. I've ordered a rubber boot liner and a rubber mat set and they cannot deliver.

Anyway, this is the last thing i buy from them.

Today I had my first experience with 4.6 Lt/100 Km. This is great.

This is bad. I didn't pay the whole amount in cash and i decided to go for tihs 0% interest option and still he gave me this minor but still a discount. Until now i'm very pleased with the dealer - forgot to mention that this specific dealerhsip offers a 5y free service. (im gonna save a lot with that). I hope to continue feel this way in the future too.

Hi everyone, sorry about me dissapearing, but the last weeks of the year are always a bit busy for me at work. Anyway, Chrisilda did you get the beauty? How is it? Photos, first impressions?
As for me... The car arrived on the 2nd Dec and now waiting for the paperwork and plates. Should be with me next week. Needless to say how anxious I am... The good news is that diesel's are now allowed in Athens by law, so I'm an even happier guy!
Concerning the parking sensors, I would hate black third party ones on my white 500, so I went for the factory fitted ones. I believe I won't regret it. Although I am very careful when parking, it's a good aid to have, especially for not visible little obstacles, eg short plastic posts etc.
Avas, how's things with your diesel? Any dpf regenerations yet?
Wish a great day to everyone! :):)

I collected the car today - unfortunately sensors will be installed on Monday ( i don't care though because i have already mentioned that they are for free)

First impressions? I just loveeeeee it! :) Even my boyfriend, who was considering it as a deadly slow super mini and nothing more than that(owner of a golf gt and Giulietta quadrifoglio verde in a few months) was amazed by it's cuteness and character. He took it for a ride and what he said is that yes its slow BUT it's so cute and pretty - don't expect me to love it that much as the Beetle but it has already a place in my heart LOL. :D

Diesel is great! I had to push it on day so when i parked there was a strong smell just like carbon burning. Maybe this was a dpf regeneration.

I have only 2500 Km so I don't know if this is the case. The mileage I'm getting include several real quick trips going over 150Km/hr so a normal drive could be even cheaper....

I found some really nice looking decals for mine but I don't know if there will be a mark when removing them after some years. What do you think?
