I ordered mine on 18th May and had a phone call this week to say it's on the boat heading my way! Any idea how long it takes from this point? Getting stupidly excited and driving everyone around me mad :D

Lol, if I get a call in August to say it's in I think I will struggle too to be honest but the powers that be (other half/parents) will have to hold me back! I'm not bothered about the new plate as such but I've been told that for the sake of two weeks the new plate for value wise is worth it??

Difference in value for "new plate", obviously depends on how old the car is. At 12-18 months about £400, 3 years about £200, and less as the car gets older. There are other variables such as mileage, engine, spec etc, which will also affect this.

Im not planning on selling my new baby any time soon so really don't think I'll be able to wait! I think it would have mattered more if it was like it used to be and they changed yearly but now I don't think it'll make much difference.

I also think if I wait til Sept Im going to have spent a fortune...every time I look at the accessories list I find something else I want - there's loads! If I wait til Sept I don't think I'll have enough storage in my house lol! ;)
 
I know exactly what you mean. I ordered mine on the 14th of June and it's only been two weeks and since then I've added Climate Control, Front Fog Lamps, 16" Multispoke Alloys and thinking about the Tan Leather Interior.

Truly this wait is unbareable!

Lucky you :D I've just phoned my dealer and mine is still on for a Aug 10th delivery. I hope you get it really soon - dont' forget the photos :)

The same day as you I think. My dealer said the wait all depends on colours, extras etc. Mine should be ready about 17 Aug but if I can I'll wait until Sept 1st - think I'll be too excited though! the wait is driving me mad :)
 
I'm not so patiently waiting for my new baby as well. First new car that I'll have owned. Ordered on 8th June due in Country 3rd August and with me a couple of weeks after (that is the latest from my dealer). That'll take me to mid August. Not sure that'll i'll be able to wait for 59 plate. Trying my hardest not to ring them too often.
 
Just had news from dealer, its at a code 30, expected to collect it 1st week in August, plus they just had approval for her antique A3 as scrappage!

Mrs Berlusconi is delighted that the 12 week wait is in sight!
 
Ali 500, what part of Devon do you live? Which dealer did you order from? I ordered from Vospers, Plymouth on 21st May. Car expected mid August, take delivery early September. (y)
 
Wa-hoo! Our 500 is now in the UK, at the dealer and just waiting for registration and all the paperwork shenanigans to be completed before we can pick it up. Yes! Looks like a Friday collection date. :D :D :D

It's a 1.2 pop, bossanova white with ivory/black interior (wife says that wipes will be kept in the car for use EVERY time before I touch the steering wheel - thanks).

Big cheesy grin mode on.

Hi mollie,
I'm in Exeter and have ordered from Vospers Exeter. Last time I spoke to the dealer its due into the country on 3 Aug and I should get it couple of weeks later, Hopefully!!!

I've just rung my dealer. My car is at status 30!! Yippee! sat waiting at the docks ready for its boat trip.
 
Ordered mine on 27th June.... losing the will to live & it's not even been 4 weeks!

I've ordered: 1.2 Lounge, BNW, Dualogic, electric sunroof, climate control, 16" alloys, black interior, side strips & dealer alarm. ( I don't care that its a girly car. deal with it!)

Would really like to add the ESP (aparently, the car won't roll back on an incline) & the interscope sound system - just don't know if it's too late now? When I added the side strips about 2 weeks ago, the dealer said he'll try to add, but it will be difficult. But (a huge, big butt) - with a build wait of 12-14 weeks is he just trying to make sure I don't add more bits to it?

Advice please! (or am I just getting carried away with the extras???):D
 
Woohoo! Had a phone call from my dealer today, car is in the UK and should be with them at the beginning of next week! According to the dealer I should have my car by the end of next week! Got the registration for the car and temporary car insurance is in place! Im really excited now! :slayer:
