Technical Fiat 500 1.2 2014 goes into limp mode very infrequently

Answering my own post - I noticed a split on the breather pipe (got my fingers in and felt it is split at the back) - Will access tomorrow and see if we have a fix - thx

Spliced a same-size hose on to existing and much happier ....

Query... Spliced a hose in my breather pipe as mentioned in the interim and will be ordering new but can someone explain why the breather pipe has a T going to what appears to be a rubber appendix - also how do these yellow plastic hose clips operate? thx
