Hi can anyone help me I have fiat 2.8jtd that has a running problem. The engine runs fine drives fine then every so often engine management light comes on then goes off. If you drive it over 70mph then you feel a thump engine goes into limp mode. I turn engine off it starts again and drives. Fault codes coming up on computer are P1320 is fault code timing revs sink. My man has already check timing on engine so can anyone please help as I'm coming to s blank all the time. Engine only done 40,000 miles on 2005. Cheers Jonny

Hi
Just a few thoughts on your problem, there is a known problem with the electrical connection for the No. 4 injector on 2.8JTD engines, the wiring being too short & causing a bad connection.
There was a post on the forum earlier somewhere about a similar problem with the timing system which from memory turned out to be caused by too large a gap between the camshaft timing sensor & the camshaft pulley, could also be a dirty sensor or the trigger surface of the pulley.
There could also be a faulty (or dirty) crankshaft timing sensor as well which is located on the back of the engine below the Turbo charger.
Hope that is of some help.
Cheers
