I'm pretty sure the clutch is just the cable needing re-routed and adjusted, There's no vibrations and it all engages fine, it's just the pedal release itself sticky, i think the cable's sticking on the gearbox mount tbh, it was one of those things we were going to look at when putting the front end back on before it was mot'd :) My first cinq did the exact same thing after a new cable had just been fitted at a garage, reckon they routed it wrongly tbh.

And btw, just one the subject of the idling, running. I can confirm when i had a shot of it after the engine was put in, it is a properly good engine in that thing, so get it all to road spec and when you drive it, compared to Fiasco, you'll be very surprised the difference over a standard cento. It's a properly nippy wee bugger

It really did seem that we'd be leaving the lock up, again, with that feeling of dissapointment. But eventually a bit of fettling with some earthing seemed to spark life into yellow. At this point, I'd love to remember exactly what wiring it was that needed a slight nudge, but it's been a long couple of days. I'm sure lewisp or Ransoman will remember.

In the end the fault was traced to the earth of the Crank Position Sensor. Very strange though was when lewisp removed the temporary earth it then ran fine and continued to start with no issues.

Great fun running it around the yard. Should be brilliant when the suspension is sorted (it had a bit of a knock over bumps).

Ah yes Saturday. We're losing Lewis but Andrew hopes to be there. Anyone else available to help out?

If the weather is nice I hope to get FiaSco out of the shed and into the sunshine to continue the fiddly, annoying, time-consuming task of removing that stupid insulation foam from it. Yep, for once even I might be getting my hands dirty this Saturday :D

Bottoming out the car, running out of fuel, forgetting keys, not having emergency charger charged; you guys cause more problems than the cars! ;)

Can I come along with my trailer to do brakes servicing? Might have a +1 as well in the shape of a former autosave worker who is keen to see fiasco... if thats ok?

Yeah that's fine. We'll still aim to get everyone on site at the same time as far as possible and try not to take more cars in than necessary but excess cars can stay in the car park. I've already warned them there would be a trailer turning up at some point

Bloody wife!! She is working till 3 so wont be there till about 4, more than likely missing the meet

Way hey, good to see you back on here again :D You still running your cento?

Will certainly keep the parts in mind!

Groupon voucher for £19 MOT at Colin's Tyres in Bucksburn has been purchased*. It's valid until March 2014 but, as has been alluded to in the Alford thread, it would be good to have Yellow road legal again sooner rather than later.

* Offer runs out at midnight tonight if anyone else in the area is interested

Not if you stay and watch.. get them to show all thats wrong, and if you think they are wrong... tell them..

I understand your concerns and if it had been a big chain I certainly wouldn't have used them however they're a local company close to where I work with a good reputation amongst my colleagues.

Add to the fact that many of the parts they'd be tempted to fail us on if they were crooks will be shiny and brand new I think we'll be ok

Looking forward to Saturday.

Have asked @Andi_F if he can find some sidelight wiring, along with a bulb holder. So fingers crossed we'll be able to make further progress!

Wright going to nip out shortly to couple of Scrappys, see what I can get.
Which side do you need the wiring for? And I'm sure the sidelight goes inside the headlight, unless there was a difference on the SPI & MPI's....
