Just been a bit of discussion about one so I made a basic one in publisher...was told basic was best to keep printing costs to a minimum.

very nice! :D

just a thought, dont you think itd look better if you used bens fiat forum logo somewhere on the flyer, by logo i mean whats at the top of the forum on the left.

I considered it but two problems:

Would increase printing costs and considering number of students on here it might be unfair
Fiat I believe already aren't best pleased as I understand it with Ben using that as the forum logo so using it on a flier might be worse.

It is quite silly fiat wont support the site :(

We're the people that like fiat and buy lots of stuff at their ridiculas prices :)

i know. it stupid.

Someone should find an e-mail address for fiat and all of us should send them a formal e-mail inviting them to look aroiund the site and asking them to support us.

Someone should also right said letter for us all to send.

Fiat UK Customer Services are well aware of this site, and it is also monitored regularly by them [I know this after certain rants in the Ulysse forum lead to me receiving a phone call].

The strange thing, though, is that they never really do much else.

Anyway, back on thread, flier looking good Paul :)

Well done, Helzie, for bringing this back to the top :)

Just think the amount of Fiats we saw on that Rally day - we should have gone hunting in packs, plastering notices on every one we saw.

I will print a few off and take on my travels to Eire, you never know.

Fiat won't be happy because their logo is like a registered trademark, registered logo and it is illegal to use it without their permission - like copyright.

The same goes for many company etc logos - Clubcento being one of them! You have to pay to get it registered and so if people then use the logo for free in effect they should kinda share the registration cost with Fiat!!!

[This is not an argument I'm presenting just an angle as to why they dont approve - just before I get people jumping on me :) ]

See now I don't understand their problem with that. I see the point about it being their property but at the end of the day we are encouraging people to buy their cars and provide a link to their website from ours. Considering what is done here it would be very nice if they would offer more support in fact and not less.

I agree Helz, it's absurd. If we did something like "FIAT (logo) are CRAP!" then ok, but what this site does helps Fiat and supports them, it would be nice to have a bit of support back. The cost to Fiat of their logo is so small it's negligible, they have so many lawyers that the £1k or so to do it privately is a joke.

The above isn't why they don't approve, they don't approve because they don't want to seem to be supported/support something they don't control for obvious reasons.

Getting your logo wherever possible is one of the first basic rules of marketing, at least Fiat see that enough that they let FF use it at the top.
