hello people..

I want to remap my 1.6 bravo.. few things i wanted to know before going ahead with it.

1. How much more BHP will it gain?
2. What is changed or put in when a remap is done?
3.How much do you guys think it will cost?
4.Does any1 know who does it in the east midlands?

Thank you.

ahh ok. no problem.. is there another way of increasing bhp?? thanks

Yeah, but they're not cheap. Just lose some weight, that'll make you move faster.

You can chip a 1.6 ask Ash however im sure it was only MK1's. So you might be pot out of luck again.

ahh ok.. how much more bhp will a chip gain the car then? thanks

to be honest, i doubt ill be that much gain so u can feel it. itll be the same as putting a good induction kit set up in.

iv got ash's old chip, guna try it int he new year, see what it can do

if u want more power keval, get a full straight through stainless steel system done, from manifold to back, will make it roar and move :)

She's a monster soon to be revealed :)

If they didnt want it stripping they shouldnt of give me nuts and bolts :)

I put a stainless steel manifold and cat back exhaust on my old 1.6 and it was the worst mistake I ever made, the car was slower than a week in the gaol after I fitted that. A straight through exhaust is only good if you want 2 things - to be deaf within a year and to look like a complete w*nker when you're driving down the street in a car making more noise than a 747 on takeoff.

Also, do N/A engines not need a bit of back pressure from the exhaust system to keep thing ticky-boo performance wise?

yeh its all about back preasure, but sometimes, depends on ur set up it can increase it, like ur air intake and all that, decent air intake and decent system could see u a good few extar BHP and alot better torque.

but yes, NA engines need back preasure to keep it going lol

Give red dot a ring they may be able to do it??

The thing about a re-map/chip is that you will have increased perfomance, unlike an airfilter which is very doubtfull.

It's the gains through the revs more than the peak gains. Peak gains you may see 10bhp but at certain revs you could be pulling over 15bhp more.
