I had to replace all of the bulbs, 4 of them in total. There are four bolts. It is better experience controlling the ac/heater with lights on :) IMG_0412.JPGIMG_0414.JPGIMG_0413.JPGIMG_0415.JPGIMG_0417.JPGIMG_0419.JPGIMG_0431.JPGIMG_0440.JPG

I am wondering how you managed that so easily! There is a guide here which also makes it sound easy.

On my car once you attempt to remove the switch cover it just does not want to come out. In the end I took off the handbrake cover and all the other parts that seemed to be in the way.

I think I broke one of the location tabs above the switches because there has been a buzzing on the motor way sometimes ever since but I have been reluctant to open it up and risk breaking something else.

It wasn’t that easy at first. I forgot for the bolts :)
Watch out for the cigarette lighter unit.

My MK2B is like yours, fairly easy to get the centre console out, my daughter's MK2 had a different handbrake / gearlever surround and that had to come out to get the centre console out!

Same as mine then. Doing mine was an unbelievable mission but it made a huge difference to the experience of driving the car.

I suppose i am going to have to get it apart again and repair that clip or whatever I broke so the annoying very slight buzzing noise stops.
