Well Space Oddessey was a film and this is TV Sci-Fi poll. As for Dune the original is one of the absolute classics but the TV remake and the series should be cast into the pits of hell as they are bluddy awful. Almost as bad as Crusade!Alex said:

Ah ha... yes TV... I remember those. Absolutly right for got about that bit great films, dune a little too long for me though. Didn't realise that Dune was made into a TV program, can Imagine that that could be severe crap

Stargate has to be in the same league of rubbish TV followup to a good film. And Star trek is the other way round - the series were actually good, the films were dire, if amusing.
