Technical Faulty ECM ?

Hi everyone from a newbie to the forum. Currently on holiday in Spain for 2 months in my 2019 Fiat Ducato van. After driving for 700km yellow check engine light started coming on and we lost some power and thrust. Initially after a rest the light disappeared only to come on again after an hour or so of driving. It’s now more frequent and pretty much coming on as soon as I start driving it. I’ve been to 2 garages and it’s been on the diagnostic machine and no faults are showing. Currently in Seville in Spain and the Fiat garage are telling me that it could be a faulty ECM and want to remove it and send it to Potencia ( Local ECM specialists) to see if it can be repaired. Has anyone else had something similar happen and if so what was the outcome?

ADBLU or early 2019 twin egr
Question what Version software is it V32 or something earlier. Someone has had a ecm corruption that then worked after update. IF you are at a Fiat pro dealer ask them to reflash the ECM with V32. That will either kill or kure.
The easiest way to check version is with An android phone/tablet with Alfaobd free version and a BT dongle vgate icar2 pro or the cheaper BT4 version. It could be bought from Amazon Spain and delivered to thier post box system.

I have a Ducato 2.3 140hp manufactured Dec 2020. The yellow check engine light has come on many times over the years, and sometimes it has gone into limp mode. I only have a basic generic code reader from Aldi. It won't read Fiat specific codes so it will say there is no codes when there probably are. Even though it says no codes found I set it to erase the codes and it says 'erase failed' Nevertheless, it must have done something because the yellow engine EML light goes out, and full power is restored. I never know how long it will be before it comes on again. Might be a couple of minutes - might be a year. I don't know what has caused the yellow EML light to come on. Might be something as simple as a bit of muck on one of the many sensors that has been blown or burnt off.
I have the free google car scanner app and wireless dongle that might give a bit more info. But that takes a while and an internet connection to set up and so when it goes into limp mode I just plug in the code reader to get it back to full power as soon as possible.
I would get the Multecuscan software but I think perhaps my van has the security gateway so it might not work.

I have a Ducato 2.3 140hp manufactured Oct 2020. A year ago I removed the pipe in the tank restricting it to 75l. Now I can fill it with 90l.
This August I had help from a forum friend with proxy alignment to make the on board computer and fuel gage to show correct information. He is used to work with MES. He has an older Ducato himself so he said that we might have problem to get pass the security gateway, if there where any, in my Ducato. We had no problems and I think the conclusion was that my Ducato don´t have a security gateway. It probably is the same with yours.
