Hi everyone

I'm David and new to this site, looking for some advice.

Hope someone out there can point me in the right direction.

I have recently bought a 2010 Fiat Punto 1.3 diesel and it has an airbag warning light on ( checked fuse / wiring but cannot see anything obvious) and also it has the "fuel cut off not available" message come up when ignition turned on. Again I've looked for the valve in the eng bay and interior sides but cannot see. Help appreciated.

Cheers

David

Airbag warning light will need plugging in to a computer and the codes read to see what’s going on, at the same time you can look to see what the fuel cut off warning is all about quite possibly connected.

Years ago cars had a mechanical switch to cut the fuel in the event of an accident, however these days the fuel cut off is done electronically when the car detects an accident. I’m now 100% because the newer evo systems are very different to older puntos but it’s possible if the fuel shut off system is registering a fault, it may mean that the airbag light comes on
