I have a problem and its that my tires are getting eaten on there sides. One on the inside and the other on the otside.

I recently changed one wish bone(swinging arm) and did my tracking. I also did a compleat check of other parts that can cause the eating, the other wishbone - did pull it, hammer it, turned it......., no indication of excess movement; all stays in place.
Did check the stabilisator strut, also ok - but my rubbers that hold the wish bone are a bit old; can that be it ????
Also I did check the tie rod ends and they also have no excess movement - did check them by pulling, turning pressing down.

Can you think of something else that can cause the problem ???
As I know, only the wish bone ball joint and the tie rod ends can cause the tire to wear like that?!

Thanks
P.S. - yes my tire preasure is OK ;)

The forces you can apply to the whishbone with your hands are tiny compared to the forces when driving. simply pushing on them won't indicate if they are worn.

Uneven wear like that indicates its more than just tracking. I'd get a full alignment check done.

Thanks mate, but I found the problem - it is the wish bone.
Has around 0,5mm excess in the ball yoint, but I didnt have the space to try it on a regular jack - so my mechanic did it ona his big car one.

Thanks again, and sorry if I bothered you.

And thanks to Ash and Andy for contacting you. :)
