Hey Tom,

Thanks for the advice last nite with regards to the buzzing in the boot of my Bravo. You said it was possibly the fuel pump. So annoyed, that my new Bravo of 2 weeks could be playing me up, I stormed it into SERE Fiat in Belfast and told them.

The service guy booked it in on Tuesday Morning to fix the squeeling brake problem, but insisted that the buzz was the rear wiper motor and not the fuel pump - says this is a Bravo/Fiat problem. He didnt even look at the car, just said it will be sorted on Tuesday!

So could it be the rear wiper motor after all? Or is this a usual Fiat stunt?

I'd worry if it was the rear wiper motor, does the rear wiper work? If the rear wiper does not move then it could be stuck and the motor could be making the noise but I would have expected it to get hot and most likely burn out quite quickly.

Plus I would have hoped that they would have checked it before selling it to you

How the hell do you turn the rear wiper on? I cant find the switch?? lol

Rear wiper

My rear wiper motor has died and I have had it confirmed by a mechanic. I rang Fiat today who quoted me a price of around £81 for a replacement motor. Looks like you have the same problem. Good luck.

You could try the scrap yards, or one of the mail order ones might have one like car transplants http://www.car-transplants.co.uk or Auto Continental in Stoke (They're on http://www.yell.com) pot luck really as it is a common fault. Or if you want a new one, PowerAlfa (http://poweralfa.com) might be cheaper, think it depends if he has any in stock

Changing it is an eady 15 min job, just follow the instructions on http://www.bravo-guide.co.uk/fix-a-bravo for the rear wiper fix, the Haynes explanation is also good, just be careful when you prise the clips on the plastic panel off

I have used them a few times and the longest I have had to wait for a breakers to call back with a part is 20minutes.
