Here is one away form the usual threads on the forum for you

when you try and put the car in to gear without pressing the clutch it wont go as you know!

my problem is when i press the clutch down it stil wont go unless i really force it. but it is exactly the same if i dont press the clutch down! it will change gear with a bit of a fight bliping the revs to match the gears up

but also consider when i switch the engine off it goes into all the gears nice and easy with or without the clutch engagued. as soon as i start the engine all the gears are really stiff to engague and the reverse grinds every time i use it i have checked all the linkages and they are fine also the gears seem fine when it finally get they gear i want.

would you say it was the clutch or the gearbox? and which part of either the box or clutch could it be?

im in the process of geting the dif gearbox and clutch out of the car do you have any tips for geting the rear centre engine mount off? as it seems to be stuck on the chassy end

Dragging clutch is the most likely cause.

And the rear mount is a whore :) Can't remember how I did it but I do remember it involved a lot of swearing. I THINK I ended up taking the whole bracket off.

i have taken out every bolt and nut there is holding it and i stil cant get it to budge

what did you do clutch or box and at how many miles?

Clutch at 72k. Box is sweet as a nut despite my abuse of it.

Is this the mount you are having trouble with?

thats the buggar how did you get it off i have undone everything apart form the big bolt in the centre of the rubber as it just spins in the rubber i have undone the two smaller bolts and it wobbles but it just wont drop down properly

You've got to undo the big bolt at the back that holds it to the subframe. The bracket has to come off the car before the gearbox will come out.

Looks like you're going to have to cut the bolt off.
