Hi everyone, i was wondering if its possible to put in a 5 speed box from a later pushrod engined panda into my panda 45 :chin:. The engine will be taken out of the 45 as i want to clean it up and make it look new (and do the welding at the same time), so i thought that as the engine and box will be out of the car, i might as well do the clutch, then i started to think about a 5 speed box

Keep it standard :) You've got a rare beast there...

But, FWIW, the later 903s had a five-speed box, including my 1992 'Dance' :)

the 45S was fitted with a 5 speed box, the gear change is a lot nicer, but...

your 45 is a rare beast now so I would be tempted to keep it stock(y)

cheers Damon

Its strange. Ive heard all the bad press about the 45 gearchange but i thought it was fine. Bit floppy maybe but it never baulked and it was unbelievably light.

The two 1982 Panda 45's we had were dreadful (gearchange only :p )
