Considering painting some of the lettering on my tyres white to give it a bit more of a retro feel :D

What sort of paint would be the best for this as I imagine it would need to be done with a brush, is there specific paint types for painting rubber?

Edit: I'm asking here as the 500 and the 126 are probably the only cars on this forum that could properly get away with so assume one of you has done it or knows how ;)

Very quickly, you have to throughly clean the tyres first as all the black bleeds through. I once did some Vespa tyres and washed them in the bath for ages, still it all bled through.

If you go somewhere like a car accessory shop, they might have the little pens that you can use to do the letters.... just dont paint the remould bit or made in china!!!

Tried to reply at work but stupid thing wouldn't let me, I'm not after whitewalls and from what I've read those trims damage tyres. Just want to paint the lettering (not all of it) and wondered if that would be a good hard-wearing paint.
