Fiat panda has a map sensor replaced it runs ok for 30 mins the engine light comes on and the revs go to 1500 when you put your foot and the pedal nothing happens
What year of manufacturer please and what engine? also why was the MAP sensor replaced and was it a good quality new sensor? I'd want to scan for codes using a tool which is proven to give meaningful results - for instance I favour the Multiecuscan tool.Fiat panda has a map sensor replaced it runs ok for 30 mins the engine light comes on and the revs go to 1500 when you put your foot and the pedal nothing happens
Its 2014 it went on a proper fiat computer saying the map sensor fault so they changed it at Alexanders its 1.2What year of manufacturer please and what engine? also why was the MAP sensor replaced and was it a good quality new sensor? My first stop would now be to rescan it and see what comes up. Maybe something was disturbed when they were working on it and a rescan would likely show this. Its 2014 it went on a proper fiat computer saying the map sensor fault so they changed it at Alexanders its 1.2
So i took it to them cause it was rough at ideling and the revs went to 1500 when I put my foot and the pedal it wouldnt do anythingMy first stop would now be to rescan it and see what comes up. Maybe something was disturbed when they were working on it and a rescan would likely show this.
Is what you are now experiencing similar to the original reason why you got them to look at it in the first place? If so then they obviously haven't "fixed" it and I'd be chucking it back at them to sort out.
Its still coming up with a map sensor code got told that the manifold could have a leak as it only revs to 1500 when it reaches 90degreesSo i took it to them cause it was rough at ideling and the revs went to 1500 when I put my foot and the pedal it wouldnt do anything
Well, it might be, the manifold is plastic and, although I've not had it, I've read on here of others who have. One way to check is to get a length of plastic/rubber tubing, stick one end in your ear, and then move the open end around the manifold where it joins to the head. Of course the engine has to be ticking over. If there's a leak of any consequence then you'll hear a hiss when the end is hovering over the leak. Be very careful of any rotating or hot parts won't you. A more professional way to do it is to use a smoke generator but not many home DIYers will have one of them and I find a "listening tube" works for me.Its still coming up with a map sensor code got told that the manifold could have a leak as it only revs to 1500 when it reaches 90degrees
