Can anyone shed any light on what may be causing a low power (acceleration) on my fiat ducato 130 multijet

I have had a number of basic things changed including

Oil and filter change
Fuel filter change
Air filter change
Water pump and timing belt done recently (needed doing)

Symptoms
Very fuely smoke on start up clears when engine warms
Occasionally when starting up it spluuters and bogs out i have to push the accelerator down to get revs up
Often rough idling on start up after a journey
Although if left overnight starts up great with no rough idling
Poor fuel economy
Lack of power when accelerating
Sometimes when revs pass 2k power seems to kick in a little but not all the time
I've noticed that if I take it for a run at 3krevs for a few miles engine power seems to be restored somewhat

it is not in limpmode as revs are never restricted and never get any EML

I have no engine management lights on the dash and when plugged in no pending codes

My issue Is partly that no mechanic really wants to entertain looking for an issue due to no engine management light on the dash seems old school testing is a thing of the past.

My thoughts for seeking various advice is suggesting possible

Throttle body issues
Maf sensor issues
Maybe injector issues

Anyone who would advise any possible cause would be greatly appreciated

Much love

Harry

Could be very many things.
Reading live data on a run , someone else driving, would be a sensible way forward.
Looking at boost pressure, inj rail pressure comparing actual to desired. Just first thoughts.

Fuel pressure regulator, turbo, blockage or boost leak, mass air flow, throttle body. Or timing is out and not correct.

I had some of those issues and found that the solenoid on the egr valve had failed.
2013 van.

Hey everyone.

I am still suffering from above issues so have just bought a multiecuscan to recored live data and also see if there are any hidden codes ect it may pull up

I must also add that after taking it to another garage with no further result I was told it looks like the dpf has previously been gutted and egr capped with is really not sitting well with me !

Could this be a possible cause of the above symptoms?

Also when the multiscan arrives this Saturday what shall I look at in reference to tests and also live data.

Many thanks
Harry

Hi,

When I read first post I thought you had this van problem free for a while and the problems occurred recently........is this not the case?

Is the van new to you? And came to you with the faults you mentioned?

The gutted dpf is a real worry along with no mil showing...

If dpf gutted and other stuff and mil is off
It may have had ecu software tampered with = nightmare

2013 2.3 multijet 120000 miles
here is data of a 30 minute drive

Might add that typically the van is working reasonably well at the moment as said its intermittent and i will get graph data of the issue asap as the power loss is very frequent

I accidently stopped the data during the drive so there is part 1 and part 2
