General Factory put on the wrong stripes!

Hi, Ive been looking at the forum but haven't posted previously as I was not a 500 owner. Well, that all changed yesterday when we picked up our new 1.2 lounge in BNW with side strip, chrome mirrors, sport alloys and red leather/ivory. Have to say that whilst I was upset to part with my much loved 57-plate Smart car, the 500 is much better than I thought it would be!

We also ordered the Italia side stripes but there was a mix up with the door strip order code at the factory and we ended up with the Italia bonnet/roof stripe. Our dealer has apologised profusely and has offered to remove the wrong stripes and replace these with the side stripes we wanted at their expense.

Trouble is, whilst I initially hated the bonnet stripe (my missus isn't bothered either way), it's already started to grow on me and I now can't decide what to do. I was grateful for your collective wisdom before placing the order and would really appreciate your thoughts!

Leave the car as is and either ask for something else from the accessory range. Or you could ask to get your first service for free.

Funny but I wanted that stripe over the roof of my Funk White abarth 500 but didn't see it as an option.

If you like it keep it and see if the dealer will refund some money or give you some other extras.

I have got a black 500 sport with the Italia roof stripe and I think it's great.. Keep it

I love the bonnet stripe - would be my choice.
