F50 FULL FIBREGLASS

MY F50 BONNETT IS FINNALLY FINISHED!
BUT THE FIBREGLASS SPECIALIST WHO MADE IT SPEANT SUCH A LONG TIME MAKING IT PERFECT HES THINKING OF MAKING A MOULD OF IT AND SELLING THEM
IF HE CAN GET AT LEAST ANOTHER 3 CUSTOMERS WHO ARE INTERESTED HE WILL MAKE THE MOULD.
IM SURE ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN PUTTING ON A BONNETT VENT HAS READ THE PREVIOUS F50 POST AND THE BONUS OF HAVING A FULL FIBREGLASS BONNETT IS THAT IT CANNOT CRACK LIKE VENTS NORMALLY DO.
THIS PROCEDURE OF MOULDING A BONNETT AS A ONE OFF IS EXPENSIVE SO HE NEEDS A COUPLE OF CUSTOMERS TO MAKE IT WORTH HIS WHILE. IM NOT A SALESMAN ALL THAT I STAND TO GAIN IS A FULL FIBREGLASS BONNETT FOR THE SAME PRICE AS A STANDARD "STICK ON JOBBY!"

Hmmm

On the plus side they are brave to do a restoration on an Alfa 75, which were a ****ing nightmare when new let alone 15 years on (worse than the 33!) so if they have restored one, fair play. On the negative side the finished article has completely ruined the lines of the "Milano" and looks awful.

The next comment I would make is on that Celica. **** me I have seen some badly modded cars but that chin spoiler is simply laughable. I wouldnt even wish to see Amit (LOL) do something that distasteful!

The opening line of their description says
"Anyone can modify a car but then anyone can bang a drum with a stick"
I think the webmaster thought that up in humour when he saw what he was being asked to put on as it describes them totally.

Sum up: Quality work, but dont give them a free reign!

the site has only just been constructed and who gives a **** how good the site is hes a fuking car restorer not bill fukin gates! all the pics on the site are old except for the motorbike pics. the celica may look sketchy but its a race car so looks arent 1st on the list.
the owner used to work for tvr making their concept body shells so i think he knows what hes doing

The Celica was not a "race car" it was a distastefully modded car. A celica is not fast enough to warrant that sort of McModification,period.

I was very honest about the Alfa Milano as well and gave the guy very high points on his ability to understand the complexities of an Alfa 75 restoration, you are obviously not particularily knowledgeable about on this topic otherwise maybe you would have given this thread a little more insight into the job the guy has done rather than to call me a ****** for praising his skills.

Pleas Rob, think a little more into what people have said rather than use swear words to describe people otherwise you wont be taken seriously.

Perhaps you'd forgotten your last post Nigel in a similar way to how Jade form Big Brother will say some thing of a derogatory nature then a few second later deny what she has just said.
You started by slating the a Alfa 75 then going on to say that they had ruined the "Milano" and made it look awful. You then go on to abuse another car for its chin spoiler and direct "yet" another abusive derogatory comment at Amit. Correct me if Im wrong but this is hardly singing the companys praises now is it?

Er...have you ever worked on one (or seen one apart from that one?) to keep it on the road let alone to restore one - I admired them for obviously having the skills and patience to do so - where is your problem with that. I then went on to say that I didn't like what they had done with it - I thought the restored car looked wrong as they had changed the angles on the car (or cant you see that?), I cant see where you think me saying the were brave to work on a car so technical complicated is contradicted by me saying they had ruined the lines!!!

As for my Jag - bit jealouse were we there to bring that into it? Worth nothing, OK look up the price for any (5.3 or 6.0) JaguarSport XJRS in good condition with low milage and be surprised - actually thinking about it, you dont really know much about cars yourself with that comment, are you old enough to have one or is it your mums?

You see even the standard XJS has started to increase with value let alone the rare ones so even if mine doesnt gain the pounds (like me!) I aint going to loose heaps like I do on normal cars.

I dont normally give a crap what people say, most of the anti Nige comments make me laugh because I speak my mind and I tend to make people speak theirs, which is fair, but your comments were about my words which was a bit worrying for some who is supposedly old enough to drive!

Sorry minirob (I think). I wasnt tryin to **** people off, I give you my opinions, straight from the hip no dicking around which I wish more people did.

Yeah, I have a 2000 HGT VVT155 (only 25 made) and I have a JaguarSport XJRs 6.0 (only 248 made) which makes me a bit stooopid to be fair as everytime something goes tits it costs me a fortune! I suppose thats my version of moddin...searchin out unique veicles and keeping them that way. It costs me fortunes like simple hoses on the Jag costing £250!

What I do hate is naff modes for no reason and mods bought from the same catalogue as yer mate, moddin is make yer self, thats where the pride and skill comes in. Any **** can buy a hole in a bonnet and get someone to fit it!

Sorry if I offended anyone called Rob, I bit back earlier 'cos it was personal, and if you ever met me ...you'd realise...its been emotional!

As far as jealousy go's That one brings a smile to my face.....

I have 2 other cars of which I do not whish to disclose the details of as I do not feel nor do I need to "show off". If you knew what they were no doubt you would be very surprised and perhaps confused as to my love of my modified Bravo. All I would say on the matter of my other cars is if you whish to come for a day out around leeds and be driven by two fantastic cars free of charge. Not including the 1.6 Bravo. Feel free to except my invertation.

As for the "derogotory comment" in regards to Big Brother. No doubt you look down a the many people who watch big brother??? Its actually one of channel 4's most popular programs So how can 4-5 million people be wrong???

Also a bit of sensible advice. When you see a thread start in regards to any thing that you would consider below your self ie, modifying cars why not do the grown up adult thing and not put a follow up post and except that what one person finds fun, another will dislike. After all, all of us being different is what makes the world go round and I certainly would never try to belittle your purist attitude towards the Bravo.

Out of hand

Look this got a bit out of hand (my fault as well). I said the company did quality work and were obviously very good at what they did because the Alfa 75 was a very difficult car to work on, I know as I have done some.
However my obvious downfall came when I also said I didn't like what they had done to it, and I still dont, as the 75 is a very angular car with specific degree lines which they altered - and I got slaughtered and called a ******, which I thought a bit personal.

I then get other personal slaggings for my opinion, never arguments against the opinion, nothing that bright - just slaggings.

Then I get accused of being some character on a TV show, one I admit I don't watch, who says one thing then contradicts herself. I defended because I hadn't contradicted myself at all and explained why.

So Rob, I apologise for any offence, but I was defending my personality which had been attacked because I gave honest input.

Maybe I will drop you an email when I am next in the Leeds area as your other 2 seem very intruiging.
