Patrick just a quick question as you live there i passed through Rammy on the way to Bolton today.
Saw the vase had water running and thought nothing of it.
On the way home i passed it again and the water is now bright luminous green?????
Any idea what's been put in it this time as it looks better with the colour?
(personally my favourite is the gallon of soapy liquid)

I know what ya mean as its not far from me. Think its quite cool i remember the soapy incident.

Allright mate:) the dye and the soapy stuff that gets put in, is done by the local jokers, I have seen it red, green and yellow so far, as well as being soapy. The first time I think they put a bit too much in as it flowed all over the main road, lol

The Irwell Sculpture Trail is one of the largest public art projects in the country having some 20 sculptures in all. The trail runs from Salford along the Irwell Valley through Ramsbottom, on to Bacup and beyond.. It includes a Tilted Vase (map ref. 3), created by Edward Allington. The sculpture, manufactured in bronze, occupies a central position on the site of the original market place.

Forgot to mention, as you can see from the pic, the water is actually recycled and just pours down that drain and then back up to the vase, so the lads just need to pour it down the drain and then do a runner:)
