Technical Exhaust pipe

Hi!

I've got a 1997 1,6 16V Marea.
My exhaust downpipe has a hole in the flexible part of the pipe and it need to be replaced...
Anybody has some hints how to get around this job?There's 2 heat shields, one upper around the manifold and downpipe joint and one lower protecting the steering rack ect.
It looks like a P.I.T.A. job...

when i did it on a 1.6 bravo it wasn't too difficult. a long entension bar is needed for your ratchet to reach the bolts that hold the downpipe on to the manifold. disconnect the cat first, then the manifold.

Were you able to get it appart without heating?
It's looks pretty rusty in the mainfold/downpipe joint.

i didnt heat it, although i did do it with the exhaust hot from use (i always do that ever since i sheared a bolt on a cold exhaust back in 2001)
