General Exhaust mounting rubber

the rubber that holds the backbox on has dropped off today, i got a replacment pretty easily and most importantly FREE, i can get it on one end or the other but how do i get all the hooks on at the same time

With difficulty and a few scratches!
They're not very easy to fit, mainly because they'd come off too easily if they were. It's a job to be done with room to move and take a deep breath before attemting the final lever.
I usually manage with a couple of screwdrivers and lots of patience.

I think the key thing is to lube up both runners so they slip easily on, either with fairy liquid, grease or other lubricants.

i had a chat with Dunc on msn and had it fitted in 5 minutes

fitted it to the car mount first then used a nice screwdriver to get the first of the exhause hooks on then a slightly smaller screwdriver to get the second on

use a jack to lift the exhaust while you get the first hook on then remove it
