I have started to get a knocking noise from underneath the car at the back, I thought ah! the infamous heatshield rattle, but on inspecting the car the only thing I can find is that several of the exhaust hanger rubbers are quite badly worn allowing the exhaust to move around a bit, does anybody know if those from a Vauxhall Signum or Vectra C will fit, I anticipate the genuine Fiat parts will be quite pricey so have decided to try GM parts first if they fit. Thanks in advance.

The exhaust back box has a huge GM logo embossed in it. The floorpan's GM too, so I'd bet that the bit of rubber between the two is GM too.

Thanks for the info S130 & Doofer, I will stick with the Fiat parts although we don't have a reasonably local dealer anymore, they now sell SEATs.

Is that similar to hanging a smurf from your bumper?

(I only found out today that this means your car is on facebook).
