Technical Exhaust centre pipe

Technical Exhaust centre pipe

To be honest I think keeping an eye on uk/german ebay for a GSR kit might be your best bet, I think the one on the forum would use mainly the original pipes with the cone in place of the original air filter housing. Are you getting rubbing over speed bumps? I'm 99% certain its not your exhaust, but your engine undertray. Mine had a couple of clips missing so it used to scrape a lot, but even now with it properly secured going over some speed bumps very slowly it still scrapes! Just take a look under the engine where the plastic shield drops low a one point, and you will most likely see that its scraped.

The undertray on my bravo hits everything and I'm in a dynamic model. Which is higher than a sport I believe. It doesn't really catch the main speed bumps (sleeping policemen) as much. But it catches the speed cushions (smaller ones that don't go right across the road) nearly everyone whether in doing 1MPH or 40. I've resorted to hitting them off centre so my passenger side lifts up and over them. Not so comfortable for my passengers but makes my life better not hearing that god awful row as it scrapes along the hump. (I'd like to point out I don't hit bumps at 40mph I was exaggerating lol)

Whilst I'm in this thread though. If I was to have an aftermarket exhaust fitted could I have it come through the rear bumper like the sport model? At the moment mine is folded behind the rear bumper. But I do love the look of the exhaust on yours.

Hey Matt, don't you just need to replace the rear diffuser on the bumper? you might need a few other bits but take a look on ebay:-

Didn't think of that, my main thought would be for the slot to be cut out of the bumper and then tidied up with some trim. But if a sport diffuser fits then that would be immense. Can anyone conform if it's a straight swap?

Give Sherburn Motor Spares a call:- 01977 684222. They are a Alfa/Fiat breakers yard and have a Bravo sport in at the moment. I have used them in the past and are very helpful. I'm sure they can answer your question and supply anything you need if it can be done.

Ive used these chaps before. They are good but got quoted £35 for rear wiper on my Bravo, turned up face to face and paid £5 with some other misc bits of plastic :\

I loved walking round their scrapyard all sorts of Fiats and Alfa's some nice leather seats etc fit for a Cinq or Panda :)

Just to let you all know and give you an update of what ive done!
I fitted a universal air filter and you can really hear the standard dump valve sounds really good theres no need to add a dump valve,i had it remapped and with the exhaust and filter should be running 190-195 bhp and it really does shift very impressed!as for the gsr induction kit they are the bees knees they give you 10-20 bhp ive been intouch with the guy that makes them and there going to be available feb march time next year i think there around the £180 mark but that will be the next step for me!

Ha ha well i had to get hold of one from somewhere!it was the guy who remapped my car that told me about him on facebook!but apparently there the same kit for the 120-150bhps just dont know if i can wait that long!lol want it now!

Hi all for some reason i can't start a new thread on my app,but just wondering if anyones had to put a new clutch in a bravo t-jet 150 yet i phoned a place up for a price and he told me that the csc (concentric slave cylinder) is an external one is this true?so if it is obviously it doesn't need changing while gearbox is off does it?thanks

I'm very tempted to go down the custom route myself.

I took my car into a local garage for inspection after I noticed a rasping noise coming from the exhaust for the first time. As expected, I was told there was indeed corrosion, but on the mid-pipe, which I was quoted £180 for replacement. I know that it's only a matter of time before the back-box goes too.

After reading this thread, I thought to myself it might make sense to have a custom exhaust fitted now rather than later when the back box goes.

I only have the T-Jet Dynamic and not the Sport, so does anyone know if Tony Banks make custom exhausts that are as inconspicuous as the original? I don't want any performance gains since this would void my insurance.

I would like the luxury of a stainless steel exhaust system that will last more than a couple of years, without going through the hassle of saying to my insurance company I've modified the exhaust for greater performance etc etc.

Does anyone have any experience of this? I also live in the Manchester area, so if anyone knows of any decent custom exhaust builders nearby, help would be much appreciated.

Hi wizk1

Yes Tony Banks will do you a copy of your original. Its very common for them to do this, all made to measure unlike some places.

Give them a call:-

Get them to write on your receipt that its a copy, this should be enough to keep your insurance company from charging you extra but I would contact them first.

I'm still very happy with mine!
