Hey

Went to kwik fit today as exhaust is blowing, and was told I need a new centre pipe and possible rear section due to corrosion. But was told as its the turbo version there is no aftermarket replacement yet, so would have to order it from Fiat. Bringing the total to around an eye watering £600 if needing all of it.

Is this true? anyone know of another supplier?

A local Longlife dealer quoted me £300 for a full stainless system which is much more appealing, but still a lot if its just the centre pipe.

Any help/info appreciated (y)

I'd just (and will) go for a stainless system. Yes, it's a bit more but it's going to last.

After many phone calls today, kwik fit were proved right. Yes you may find the exhaust on various web sites, but phone them and you will be told the 150 turbo exhaust is still not in production by any of the aftermarket suppliers. I will hopefully receive on Monday a date they will go into production as it is "currently still under development" and I will post this if I receive it.

I will still be looking at paying around £300 for the centre pipe and back box which is the same as the cost of a Longlife full stainless system fitted, which will come with a 10 year guarantee and built to order so will sound exactly how I want, so I will be going with the stainless system.

I think under development often means we thought about it then decided not to bother!

Let us know what you go for, I think I'm going to be in the market for one in the next year or so.

Well I went for the Longlife stainless exhaust, very happy with it. Fitted by Tony Banks Exhausts of Leeds, watching them fit it was very interesting but forgot my camera.

Here's a pic of it fitted:-

I'm from Harrogate Freebo, but everything is based in Leeds that's any good!

Cheers Rigby, the sound is something else. I went for quiet but throaty when you accelerate hard, makes it very tempting..

Very happy with Bravo!

Looks good, I am still very happy with mine. I had very similar problem as you but they spotted a broken gearbox mount when they did mine. My plan is an induction kit then remap, not keen on the dump valve but that's just me. You have done the most important "mod" and fitted a much more free flowing exhaust.

Yes im very happy with mine would definatly recommemd having it done!what induction is the best i know gsr don't make one anymore and there supposed to be the best but i can't seem to get hold of one anywhere!AS for the dump valve apparntley there fitted with an electronic one as standed and when the induction kits fitted you can hear it alot more so hopefully i won't need one!yes i'm going to have mine remapped by a guy on facebook called west yorkshire tuning he does custom remaps and apparently he's really good also does duo remap so you could have it set for econamy then hit the sport button for full power around 185bhp!

Yes its a good idea to have the best of both worlds!yes i saw the thread about the induction kit but where would you get the full pipe from turbo with the other little pipe outlets like you get with the gsr kit? Also do you have trouble going over central speed bumps?something metal scrapes on mine and im just wondering if putting 50 profile tyres on the front instead of the 40's would make a difference?

To be honest I think keeping an eye on uk/german ebay for a GSR kit might be your best bet, I think the one on the forum would use mainly the original pipes with the cone in place of the original air filter housing. Are you getting rubbing over speed bumps? I'm 99% certain its not your exhaust, but your engine undertray. Mine had a couple of clips missing so it used to scrape a lot, but even now with it properly secured going over some speed bumps very slowly it still scrapes! Just take a look under the engine where the plastic shield drops low a one point, and you will most likely see that its scraped.
