I'm currently working on a broken timing belt project (2004 Ulysse 2.0 16v TD RHW)
After removing the cam cover I was very surprised by the amount of carbon build-up in the ports. the butterfy's were completely clogged with the stuff as shown below.
How could this get so bad? I'm sure it would affect performance.
Anyone know how this can be prevented?
