Excel help needed

Its been years since i last used excel but i need it to help me out with working out the area quicker for making a vivarium.
Ive got it set out like eg.

.........A.............B
1....Length.........36
2....Depth..........12
3....Width..........12
4....Total area....1584

What i want to be able to do is put in the sizes in the length, depth and width boxes and for the area to pop straight up but i cant figure out what i need to put. What i tried putting is "=SUM(B2*B3)*3+(B2*B4)*2" But it comes up with the answer 2160. Can anyone help me with this? Theres only 5 sides because the front is all glass so dont need to count that one

Try this

=SUM(B1*B2)*3+(B2*B3)*2

But that is presuming your depth = width, else the rear will be different to the top & bottom.

Not sure how your formula works with B4 showing as 1584 - you are a row out.

Oops i accidently put them all 1 row too high up so now its working. Thanks Stu In my original sum i put B2*B4 instead of B3*B4
My bad lol
All sorted now though
