Well it's been a while (in the garage) but eventually managed to get some pics of the new motor. All 'seems' to be running OK at the mo but thats a bit like mentioning that it's not raining so we will shush.
Hopefully all confidence will be gained back in the car once its been running for a good while. It is a Sillyspeed but it was also a silly price so I bought it. Nice tidy example with 61k on the clock and full dealer service history. Had a couple of decent runs and all seems good. (Just miss that 5 pot grunt tho). Anyways - enough nattering and here she is (complete ith Alfa fitted Bose sound system, amp sub, comps in front and back)

The arse doesn't come anywhere near as close as the Brav but then again nothing never does, The Brav STILL has one of the nicest rear ends on the road even after production stopped 7 years ago. The interior on this one however is a lot more modern. I luuuuuurve the clocks and dash on it.

looks really nice, always fancied an alfa. What made you get rid of the HGT?

Scotty took it off me and is now breaking it

May i be the first to say.... ooooo shiny!

Shame there's no leather, it also needs a nice chrome exhaust pipe. Other than that it's a dullion :)

I also wanted leather. The ones I saw with leather had probs. Found a couple which looked the business - then found mayo in the oil filler so walked swiftly on.
The exhaust will get replaced. Its outer shell has already rotted off and will need replacing soon.

Looking good.

If you keep your ear to the ground i'm sure you'll find a used leather interior for sale somewhere eventually.

Very nice, what are your plans for it? Or just keep it standard?

Chris

Standard for this one. Cant be bothered running round garages trying to find one that would take my car (too low to fit on ramps etc). Only thing that will be done is the exhaust when it comes round to it.
I tell a lie - it has a wimmy sticker on already just for my own little personalisation :)

Yes if it had the bravo backend with spoiler it would be Boo Pornography!
Still a beautiful example ,love that front end.

is that a manual or automatic gearbox as i can only see 2 pedals?
nice motor btw wimmy, i want 1 now.

It's the 'Selespeed' which is semi-automatic. Flappy paddles and sequential gearbox as I understand it.

Looking good Wimmy. Love the Alfa interiors. Bose is always a nice addition aswell. Fingers crossed it looks after without more expense for a bit.

The front end straight on is really nice on the 147 but is not as quite as nice from a bit to the side,i do like them though unmistakenly Italian.

I agree on both counts, the cabin is smart as F*** but the back end is not as sexy as the bravo, but then again what is on the roads?? Oh ye that other piece of Italian FANTASTIC design, the brava nearly is :)

Liking it though wimm nice motor, may i suggest, lower it better rims back box. And nothing else.
Jobs a good un :)
