Recently been getting check engine light and code
EVAP Purge Control Valve Circuit Malfunction - P0443

BUT why does that also show the yellow triangle (with virtical bar and circle it it) as well?
As that is supposed to relate to ESP -- Thats my main question here

Clearing the code and both lights go out
and usually stay out for a day or so.
Remained off /clear yesterday, until I filled up with fuel, then immediately both came on again.

Filling up with fuel obviously affects any pressure in the tank venting and so would have an affect on the purge control stuff, especially if it was having trouble sensing it right, so not totally unexpected at that point.

Maybe a wiring fault, or a connector problem. These a the first 4 steps out of 12 of the algorithm for the P0443 fault:

1. Connections on canister solenoid valve (short circuit to GND)
2. Canister solenoid valve wiring (short circuit to GND)
3. Canister solenoid valve (short circuit to GND)
4. Engine management control unit (short circuit to GND)

Maybe check the harness.
