Hi

We have recently bought a Sedici Dynamic 1.6 and asked the garage to re-align the steering wheel as it wasn't straight. They had to disconnect the battery to do this because of the air bag and when we got it back we noticed after that the economy display had switched from mpg to l/100km. Does anyone know how to switch it back as it doesn't seem possible from the buttons and the garage didn't know how to.

Also, my wife seems to think that before they did the work the doors used to lock automatically when she started the engine. Can anyone else confirm this.

Thanks

To change it back to MPG, hold down the button next to the MPG/L-100km readout, put the key in the ignition and turn it to the first position. Let go, then press the button to scroll through the options. When you're happy with it, turn the key to the second position. That should do it.

As for the automatic door locking, mine doesn't do it. However, when I switch the car onto the second ignition position, the door locks do make a noise, but don't actually do anything. Not sure if that's normal either!

Of course . . .

Thanks CMM, you're a star !

Perhaps anyone else can confirm if the doors should lock automatically when you turn the ignition ?

There is a yellow ignition light that has a car with a lock through it which comes on at key position 1, does anyone know what this refers to ?

Thanks

My doors don't, and there's no mention of it in the manual. Perhaps you're sometimes touching one of the key buttons when turning the key, I do that sometimes on my wife's Skoda.

If you mean the dash warning light which looks like an overhead view of four car wheels, with the word 'LOCK' in their midst, this is checking the operation of the Differential Lock lamp for the 4wd system. There should also be a green coloured version above it, with the word 'AUTO'.

Thanks for confirming that Dieselglider . . .

The light was referring to was the yellow car with a padlock through it, I have found out it is the immobiliser indicator light.

Thanks

Just picked up a Sedici yesterday, and joined this forum to ask the very same question about litre to m.p.g. read out. Delighted to find the answer before asking the question. Only shows the value of forums, I will be back.
