Technical EU to UK

Hi,

I'm importing a EU 500 to the UK.

What do I need to change ?

Is it just the speedo and headlights ?

If so is there only 1 part number for a normal 500 for both headlights and speedo.

The car has bluetooth and this shows on the dash, is this on all speedos ?

You'll need speedo, main dipped beam headlamp units and replacement tail lights to swap the reverse and fog lamps over

Multiple different types across the years, depending upon if its an auto or manual box, if it has start stop, MPH vs KMh etc etc.

Ok, best to ring Fiat then and find the correct part number and then look on eBay. I assume from now on the clocks will never read the correct mileage.

I have seen you can just change the fascia to MPH but that seems a big task but at least you'll have the correct mileage.

Contacting Fiat for the part number and then going on eBay sounds like a brill idea.

If using 2nd hand clocks, providing the mileage is lower on the replacement clocks than the car has done then they can be increased to match the correct mileage yourself using MultiECUscan.net software

You only need one tail light, the clear reverse light can be converted to a fog with the addition of a red globe/ LED. Changing the light colour is easy enough, but won't the wiring need a swap or is switchable via the body computer?

You may well be right with that, the only think I've noticed in the past on some vehicles (Classic Panda's, our Yaris etc) is that the fog unit has an additional reflector within the housing, which the reverse doesn't, to aid with intensity I'd assume. This maybe something the reverse on the 500 doesn't have, and as such will result in a lower level of light output?

Just something worth considering.
