Did you also ask him...

If the first pic is a library photo, then how come he managed to get the pics of the 'actual vehicle' outside the same bloody house??? ;)

Seems very dodgy to me...

Well he's either changed it or you guys are mistaken. The first pic is definitely not an HGT (look at the front bumper, wings and repeaters) although it does look as though it's got HGT skirts.

And I'm not sure when the first HGTs came out. As this is a '98 it may have been pre 147HGT and therefore "Top of the range" at the time.

I think what Oz-Al is saying...(i'm sure he will correct me if im wrong ;))

The library photo or first pic, has HGT skirts, but doesnt have a HGT bumper or side repeaters...so its definatly a HLX.

Also when the Bravo's were launched the was no HGT, the HLX was the top of the range...HGT's were out in '97, but this could have been an early '97 HLX.

Anyway it might be top of the range, but it still hasn't got aircon ;)

Still looks a bit dodgy to me, having library photo's and actual photo's outside the same house...lol

I seem to remember he had one up for sale last week which was also an HLX (as mentioned in the post).

I suppose it is possible that he just cut and pasted the description from that sale into this and then added a few bits in and changed the pictures.

The different reg numbers in the pictures is a bit of puzzle too.

In trim terms the HLX is top of the range!!! the HGT has all the same trims, just has a more sporty engine!!!

they have the same seats, the same electric goodies (windows, mirrors, sunroof) they both have heated seats, so in terms of trim it is top of the range!!!

However because the HGT has the sporty engine it does make it higher in ther range!!!!

Some might argue that HGT though is seperate in the range, because the wings etc it doesnt share all it components with the rest of the range! e.g. rear disc brake (the rest are all drums!)front wings (the rest are narrower) bumpers (the rest are not as wide) and also its the only model to be above group 10 on the insurance so it.... I agree he shouldnt say in great big bold letters TOP OF THE RANGE!!

Its like (in principal) saling a 330 bmw and saying top of the range when there is the M3 above it... but the 330 is top of the general range....the M3 too has the sporty engine, different wings and wider bumpers... but the interior trims are the same ( i think the 330 gets Mtec spec)!!!

..........................................................

By the way i agree he is wrong, but i am just trying to think of another angle where he might have got his wires crossed!!

Also the cars shown have the MK1 HLX alloys and neither have the MK1 or MK2 HGT alloys.

So indeed its a HLX with HGT Skirts in first photo, and HLX in the rest. To be honest i don't know why he has put his own library photo in as the other photo's do the car enough justice.

He has replyed to me and said its an HLX but the HGT is higher spec so he admits his title is wrong lol
