Morning all,

When I turn on my PC I get the following message:

Error Processing Message
C0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bf7c
Cancel Try Again Continue

All choices seem to make the error message disappear.
Anyone have any idea how to fix or what it relates too?

If i dont choose anything, programs still load up in the background (except for x-fire). If for example I load up Word, I can still use it normally but the error message does not dissapear (i.e. move behind what you are doing) and it appears ontop of the document.

what OS, and what provoked it?

can happen in XP when a USB device isn't properly removed. What was the last USB Storage device you plugged in? Try putting it back, see if that cures it - and then try removing it properly via the safely remove hardware jobby. itunes can also provoke it

If that doesn't work, try this;

1. Click Start, click Run, and type “regedit” (without quotation marks). Press Enter.
2. In the Registry Editor, on the left pane, navigate to the following key by expanding the plus sign (+):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows

3. Right click on "Windows", click "Export", and then save it to the C:\ drive. (In case we need to undo the modification, we can double click it to restore the registry key)

4. Double-click on the key ErrorMode, and set the data value to 2.

After that, please exit regedit and restart the computer.

It is XP SP3.
I havent removed any USB devices in ages, I assumed that the C at the beginning of the error message meant 'C drive', but I dont have a 'C drive' (the main drive is J, dont ask, Im still not sure why the PC repair shop did this).
You might be on to something with Itunes, it was updated recently, im thinking roughly about the same time I started getting this error.

What will that reg edit do?

I tackled this at the weekend.
I did the regedit trick and it worked, no more error message.

I did notice that the error popped up when X-Fire opened and when I ran Spybot.

Did I fix the error, or have I only hidden it?

it has supressed it.

if you click the link up there ^^^ i think it will describe what can actually cause the error - but it may take an age to go through and work out what is actually causing it on your system
