Hi All,

I just bumped my GP (1.2 8v - 2006) in to a pole a couple of days ago , and ever since I cannot start it again. When I try to turn on the key, the starter starts to turn, but it's like no fuel is being fed to the engine.

I've used the ecuscan and got the following error codes:

C1219 - Pump motor voltage - Permanent
C1221 - Engine control (NCM) - Intermittant

I've checked all the fuses and all seem to be good. Anyone has an idea of what the problem is exactly? I need to start the car to take it to a panel beater to start fixing the bumper and hood.

Once you are sure the fuel lines are intact

Reset the inertia switch on the early gp's its in the driver side (UK) foot well near the accelerator in the side trim there is a round hole stick your finger in there is a rubber nipple press it down and it should reset

Hey Andy,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, thats something I forgot to mention in my original post. I did try to reset the fuel cut-off switch, but still no joy. (just to be sure, its the rubbery button in a small hole just next to the drivers footwell right?)

Yes pop the side trim off and see if switch is there remove running board along bottom of door frame first as it hides a screw to trim from memory....

Some might have the ecu control instead search this section its done by rocking the indicator stalk in a set sequence

My GP is the older version, but that didn't stop me from trying the indicator stalk sequence...Still no luck.

The bumper is broken as well as the hood, but it still closes. The sub frame is dented and slightly touched the radiator, but they are not in contact. The radiator fan is ok too. The left side front tyre broke on impact and in turn broke the tyre well plastic which is just underneath the fuse box. So i took out the battery, and fusebox completely to check if there is any damage. Can't seem to see anything out of the ordinary. The code C1219 from the multiecuscan software says its a pump motor voltage issue, but i checked out the code on other sites, and they suggest it is a speed sensor for the left hand side front wheel, which is the one i damaged. So i guess i' m confused even more now.

Hi Andy,

So I got an auto electrician over to check the car out, and he said that the fuel pump is not pumping any fuel. So I got a new pump and changed it and voila', it worked. (even if only for a short while.... it seems I have more problems than anticipated!!)

So for anyone who gets a C1219 error code, check your fuel pump :)

As for me...more investigations ahead!
