The alarm on my 2004 Ulysse 2.0 TD Eleganza Automatic sounds of its own
accord night and day, rain or shine, parked flat or sloping. It seemed to start after I had it washed by a valeting service a few months back. I now turn it on to retract the mirrors turn it off then lock the doors with the key!!!!!
I can't find the unit nor any sensors and there is nothing about it in the handbook. Any clues to the cause or cure?

Do you get any false "door open" or "bonnet open" messages when you are driving?

I started getting "bonnet open" on mine (waiting for the dealer to get new switch) I now also have to lock the car with the key as the alarm goes off randomly, due to the system thinking someone has opened the bonnet.

I had the same issue. Firstly make sure the "child watching" mirror is stowed away as this can interfere with the sensors. That seems to have worked for several people here.

I had to return my 53 Ulysse to the dealer who found that the alarm unit was way over sensitive. There was no adjustment so they replaced it under warranty, (would've cost approx £70 for the unit). Now working perfectly again.

My Ulysse has been back to the dealer under warranty THREE times'for adjustment' and the alarm still goes off erratically. How can they do this if there is no adjustment possible? Is it possible to make it less sensitive?

I also had this problem a couple of months ago (going off all the way through the night). The handbook does include a section on 'Turning Off the Interior Sensor'. The button is on the right hand side of the dashboard (you have to open the drivers door to see the button). I don't know what I did (playing with this button), but it hasn't happened again.
