Hi guys, my X palte 1.6 petrol Multipla will not idle consistantly, drives fine then I pull up at lights it hunts up and down or sticks at 3000 to 4000 rpm.
If I disconnect the electrical connector to the throttle body the idle stays stable!
I did a search and the TPS (throttle position switch) keeps being mentioned but mine does not have one (only diesels I think as they are fly by wire?)...the throttle cable goes straight to the throttle body and the TPS is built-in to the throttle body.
FIAT want £280 for a recon throttle body, anything else to check first?
No engine management lights on!
cheers guys
