so the story started about 2 weeks ago when my sisters punto 1.2 8v 53 reg had a headgaskit failure. upon inspection I also noticed a core plug leaking and various other problems that made the engine not worth repairing.
so getting to the point.
bought a second hand engine, good runner with only 66 on the clock, fitted started runs fine, pulls nicely and sounds sweet when driving. however when on idle hot or cold it hunts very erratically and eventually stalls. ranging from around 900 down to about 5/600. ive change the throttle body still the problem persists, witch has annoyed me as its such classic icv falure symptoms
the other problem is the speedo dosent work
worked fine before engine swap, still using the same box and sensor, checked all the connections over all seem fine, any ideas?
any help is greatly appreciated, im used to messing about with old fords and Vauxhalls that never seem to be as complicated at this punto
