Ducato engine

Hello I'm a newbie looking for some advice...

Can anyone tell me what engine and box i can put in my 1989 Fiat Hymer? At the moment it has a 1.9 Turbo with 76,000 miles but is well underpowered. Also it has a colum change would not mind floor change. Any advice would be much appreciated

being a 1989 - yours it probably the old tipo TD engine = @92HP

fun in a 5 door hatch , rubbish dragging 2 tonnes of camper around,
the 2.5 atmo diesel of the same era ( like my 1988) would probably work ..however parts for such OLD kit are getting an issue,
personally if I were going to all the trouble of a re-work I would shoe-horn a modern JTD in there ,
as it's more refined AND economical , with a 6-speed box..
my atmo goes EVERYWHERE above 20 mph in 5th..,
