Technical Engine won't turn over, EBD, ABS & Lock warnings

So my wife took her 1.2 500 to kwikfit for its mot last Thursday. It started fine, no lights on, she drove a couple of miles to kwikfit and parked it. They started it again and took it into the workshop, left it a while then tried to restart and it wouldnt. They put their code reader on it and suggested it was the ecu or airbag ecu.
Anyhow, got the car back home and had a go myself - I got EBD, ABS and fuel cutoff warnings and a strange "lock" warning light that I'd never seen before. I checked the battery which was down at 11.9v, so I replaced it - made no difference.
I put my autel code reader on it and along with the abs, esp and power steering codes, this popped up
"U1 700 Communic.with Body Computer (NBC), Mute,Last test completed positively,Intermittent,Requested"
Yesterday I tried the indicator "reset", I found on here - thanks, but no luck.
Went to the car today and the new battery was flat.
Any help would be appreciated.

Well, got it transported down to my local vw specialist and they diagnosed a faulty starter motor (I had bench tested the starter and it seemd fine). Anyway this had cured it, much to my annoyance as I could've changed it for a fraction of what they're charging.
They also did the mot and it failed [emoji17]

How strange that you were getting airbag ECU errors. I guess that as the starter was presumably draining the battery it was just a voltage problem.
