Bravo Engine warning light

Hi folks. I have the 150bhp diesel sport. My engine warning light seems to be coming on periodically. There's nothing wrong when driving along or sitting in traffic. Still pulls like a train. However, when I angle the car forward downhill and leave it off for a short while, when I turn it back on the warning light doesn't come on. All fluids seem OK. Any ideas before I take to a garage? Thanks.

any increase in fuel consumption?
could be lambda, but without plugging it to computer you cant know anything for sure

The light should store a fault code. Get that read for an idea of where to look next. Charlie . Oxford
