General Engine warning icons

[Fathom]

I am driving a fiat ducato 2021 2.3 Auto.
The amber engine icon has come on, and the diagnostic computer error code is P154122.
This code indicates an oil pressure sensor “problem”.
The icon was cancelled and did not return for a further 1000km before coming on again.
After switching the engine off for 48hrs, the icon did not reappear.
My question is has anyone else had this problem as most mechanics do not have a solution and say to “ignore it”, which I am reluctant to do !

Hi, that's had a few mentions on here

It's related to the variable displacement oil pump..

No obvious root cause.. its reported on several engine types

Thanks for your response, should the oil pump be replaced or may I ignore the warning because the pump has not failed and the warning is only indicative of its current performance.
I am about to commence an 8000km journey across Australia..

Search the basic 4 digits on here,

Nobody seems to have had problems as such..

I am summising it will be flagging fluctuations in pressure/performance

Like a turbo error could be Over or Under boost
